Space Raiders
Space Raiders is a 2D action platformer in which up to 4 players board spaceships as a band of pirates, attempting to collect as much loot as possible while taking out the opposing crew with the help of whatever weapons they find along the way. This game is intended to be a prototype for a modern reimagining of the game Space Invaders (1978), with inspiration taken from the game Xenophobe (1989).
Roles and responsibilities: Art, UI design and programming
My contributions:
- Conceptualised the appearances of the 5 playable characters and every enemy, which the final in-game models were based on.
- Designed the initial behaviour concepts for every enemy.
- Designed the UI assets featured in each menu, as well as the graphic for the enemy ship seen on the Loading and Game Over screens.
- Programmed menu functionality, with collaboration for the character selection screen.
